What is AllSafeX?

In modern enterprise environments, granting system administrators and engineers direct SSH or RDP access to production hosts exposes critical attack surfaces. Leaked credentials, missing MFA, unmonitored sessions, and lack of accountability create significant compliance and operational liabilities.

AllSafeX acts as a fortified intermediary. Users authenticate against the AllSafeX gateway using enterprise credentials and mandatory multi-factor authentication (MFA). Once authenticated, AllSafeX dynamically establishes isolated sessions to target servers, injecting vaulted credentials without revealing them to the operator.

Key Architectural Benefit

Target servers do not need to be exposed to the public Internet or developer VPNs. Only the AllSafeX bastion requires network access to the target subnet.

Core Capabilities

  • Unified Access Gateway: Single point of entry for SSH, SFTP, RDP, and VNC connections across cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Credential Vault & Dynamic Injection: Target root passwords and private SSH keys are stored in an encrypted database (AES-256) and automatically injected during session negotiation.
  • Granular Role-Based Access Control (RBAC): Define user groups, asset groups, and temporal access rules to ensure strict adherence to the principle of least privilege.
  • Full Session Recording & Playback: Terminal keystrokes are recorded in real-time using the standardized asciinema format, enabling instant text search across audit logs.
  • High-Risk Command Filtering: Configure command blacklists (e.g. rm -rf /, dd, mkfs) that either block execution immediately or prompt for supervisor authorization.
  • Native Desktop Clients: Dedicated desktop applications for Linux (.deb) and Windows (.exe/.msi) provide native terminal and remote desktop performance.

Zero-Trust Principles

AllSafeX adheres to the core tenets of Zero-Trust Network Architecture:

  1. Never Trust, Always Verify: Every request is authenticated, authorized, and encrypted. Perimeter trust is eliminated.
  2. Least Privilege Enforcement: Users are granted access only to the explicit assets and system accounts necessary for their assigned tasks.
  3. Assume Breach: All session traffic is intercepted, recorded, and scrutinized for anomalous behavior.

Supported Protocols

Protocol Gateway Handler Port Recording Support
SSH (Secure Shell) AllSafeX SSH Gateway 2222 / TCP Full keystroke and terminal stream (asciinema)
SFTP (Secure File Transfer) AllSafeX SSH Gateway 2222 / TCP File upload, download, and delete audit logs
Web Terminal (Browser) AllSafeX Web Terminal 80/443 (HTTPS) Full browser-based interactive terminal recording
RDP (Remote Desktop) AllSafeX Remote Desktop Gateway 4822 (Internal) Graphical session video playback (Guacamole format)
VNC (Virtual Network) AllSafeX Remote Desktop Gateway 4822 (Internal) Graphical session video playback

Audit & Compliance

AllSafeX satisfies regulatory compliance standards including SOC 2 Type II, ISO/IEC 27001, PCI-DSS 4.0, and HIPAA. Immutable audit logs provide security officers with tamper-proof records of who accessed what system, when, and exactly what commands were executed.
